COVID-19 is the talk of the century, It is all that is being talked about. Well, I thought I'd shed some light on the birth of this deadly disease and how the Simpsons are related to it.
BIRTH OF COVID-19
The epicenter of the outbreak is in wuhan, hubei province, where the patients had link to live animal markets and seafood markets. Corona virus was first detected in China, Wuhan and is now detected in more than 100 countries.
the virus is named "SARS-COV-2" and the disease it causes is called Corona virus disease 2019 hence the abbreviation COVID-19.
Basically corona virus is a large family of disease which is common in humans and animals like camels, cattle, cats and bats. It was recently declared by the World Health Organisation (March 13) that although your pets can be infected with the disease it is unlikely that they fall ill or spread this disease. Further studies may bring findings, It says.
PRECAUTIONS
1. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water. Also regularly sanitize them.
2. Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing. When someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease.
3. Avoid touching Eyes, Nose, Mouth. Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. The virus from there can enter your body and can make you sick.
4. Practice respiratory hygiene.This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
5. Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority

SIMPSONS?
The Simpsons season 4 episode "Marge in chains" almost predicted the global pandemic. The episode aired in 1993 (27 years ago). In the episode, A news reports about the "Osaka flu" and another scene shows Japanese factory workers coughing into packages which are being sent to the US. Also it is worth noting that the outbreak occurred in Wuhan, China which is 2000 km away from Osaka, A Japanese city .

A book written by Dean Koontz "The eyes of darkness" has been headlining as it predicted a global outbreak taking place around 2020. The book itself was written in 1981. The following are excerpts form the book.
